The shape control is the key technology and international leading problem of strip mill. At present, the theory and mathematical model of shape control can not adapt to the demands of shape control technology developing. The technic of the shape control of the hot strip lacks of the mature theoretically scheme and mathematical model. In this article, strip element method is used to the three-dimensional deformation analysis of the hot strip since it is well applied in the cold roll. The complete mathematical model is established and a new effective method, which is used to simulate the process of strip rolling, is formed. This method is for short element stratification method.The deformation zone is stratified along the altitude on the basis of the streamline strip element method considering that the hot strip is thick. The pressure, the front and back tension stress ^ the broadside and the total energy are available in every layer. Then the distribute of the pressure of rolling, three-dimensional stress > three-dimentional deformation and the front and back tensile stress are available through optimization based on least-energy principle. At the meantime, the shape of side drum is available. The parabolic curve is used to fit side drum and the third power spline function is used to fit the exit lateral displacement, which makes the lateral displacement continuous in all deformation zones, and is satisfied with the compatibility conditions of the first-order and second-order partial derivative of exit lateral displacement on element nodes. The number of strip elements is largely reduced, and the computing speed is raised when this theory is employed.Because of the majority of the software to the analysis of the shape of strip is not universal and is invisible, the paper studies the visual programming and emulation on the Object-Oriented programming method. Data exchange> result handler and graphic emulation is associated. So it is universal and easy to maintenance with friendly man-machine interactive interface.The article analyses the strip element stratification mathematical model of three-dimensional deformation with the technic of visual programming and emulation. The result indicates that the model can work stably and the datas calculated are precise. So it can wholly satisfy the demands of actual engineering.
