| A successful fluidized classification of quartz sand has been obtained on the basis of the analogy between classification and distillation. In this article suspension velocity of particles in liquid fluidized bed has been measured and studied by using 11 series of particles. The influence of average diameter of particles, voidage of bed on suspension velocity of particles was studied. The curves of relationship among suspension velocity, average diameter of particles and voidage of bed were obtained. These charts provided an experimental basis for improving of efficiency of fluidized classification. As outputting of product was not easily controlled, Screw conveyor was designed as equipment of output of product in this experiment. A relationship between conveying velocity of screw conveyor and voltage was studied by using this equipment. These studies provided a basis of steady and controllable output of product and successive classification experiment. Based on those experiment introduced above, the experiments of fluidized successive classification of quartz sand are carried out. Contrasted to those of previous experiments, efficiency of classification and recovery of product were improved. |
