With the worldwide requirement of energy consumption reduction in 1970's,the intensive leak control of building affects the indoor air quality greatly. In the other hand, many organism synthesis materials are extensively applied in the room decoration, while a lot of volatility organism compound emanates and the indoor air quality seriously declined. The resident come a vast symptom termed"sick building syndrome (SBS)". Many countries such as American and Japan fairly valued indoor air quality. In this area, the research is just beginning only underway and indoor air quality is almost blank. At present, the natural ventilation is the most used lustration measure of the indoor air pollutant. The pollutant dispersion in a simple apartment with two bedrooms is simulated by the method of CFD in this thesis. The ventilation mode and the formaldehyde dispersion of indoor air are studied. The detailed information of the flow and pollutants dispersion is obtained for the different mode of ventilation. The various factors and evaluation methods of the indoor air quality are discussed. Furthermore, the indoor air quality is evaluated. The suggestions to improve the indoor air quality are discussed. The present study provides a good scientific basis on the formulation of the indoor air quality standards in China.
