With the rapid development of integrated circuit (IC), the feature linewidth is becoming smaller which has led to higher requirements for the interconnect performance. The silver has very low resistivity which has good performace in the area of integration and circuit capability. The preparation of silver interconnect films using suitable silver precursors through metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) is seen as the trend for the interconnect technology in the future. Highly purified di-t-butyltelluride have various applications such as infrared detector, photographic chemistry and organic synthesis, so its synthesis and purification have been a new research focus now. This thesis consists of the following three parts:Part 1: A series of organophosphine / phosphite stabilized silver(I) complexes bearing 2-acetyl-1, 3-indandione (2AID) ligand of type Ln·AgC11H7O3 (L = PPh3, P(OMe)3, P(OEt)3, n = 1, 2) were prepared by using diethyl phthalate, AgNO3 and organophosphine as starting materials. The complexes obtained have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, 1H NMR, 13C{H} NMR and X-ray single crystal analysis, respectively. Finally, the thermal analysis and decomposition mechanism of the complexes were preliminaryly studied by themogravimetry (TG) and differential scanning calorimetric (DSC).Part 2: A series of organophosphine / phosphite stabilized silver(I) benzohydroxamate of type Ln·AgC7H6NO2 (L = PPh3, P(OMe)3, P(OEt)3, n = 2) and silver(I)3, 5-dimethylpyrazolyl complexes of type Ln·AgC5H7N2 (L = P(OMe)3, n = 2, 3; L = P(OEt)3, n = 2) have been prepared by using ethyl benzoate, acetylacetone, AgNO3 and organophosphine as starting materials. The complexes obtained have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, 1H NMR and (13)C{H} NMR, respectively.Part 3: Di-t-butyltelluride has been prepared by using (t-Bu)Cl and anhydrous TeCl4. The compound obtained has been characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy and 1H NMR, respectively. The purification method was investigated and the compound purity was measured by ICP-MS. The result shows that the product purity reaches 99.99%.
