| Microbial Transglutaminase(protein-glutamine-glutamyltransferase,EC 2.3.2.13) is an enzyme capable of catalyzing acyl transfer reactions by introducing covalent cross-links between proteins as well as peptides and various primary amines via intra or interε-(γ-glutamyl)lysine isodipeptide bridges. In recent years,MTG has gained interest due to its attractive potential application in food industries,pharmaceutical and textile industries for its special catalytic character.The major research reports on MTG at home and aboard are the studies of food protein such as cross-linking between homologous or heterologous protein. In the textile field, there is less research on catalysing other functional material to protein fibers (like wool) with MTG.Flame retardant finishing of textiles means fabric treated by fire retardant, in order to improve its fire retardancy and to make the purpose of prevent the fabric ignited and inhibit flame propagation.Because traditional chemical finishes have a great impacts on the environment, this paper hopes to achieve flame retardant finishing of wool fabrics with the aid of MTG.In addition,other performance of the treated wool fabric was studied.The results showed that: alendronate could react with wool under the catalysis of MTG by determination of the phosphorus content on fabric and thermal analysis.The process conditions for Alendronate fixed on wool was determined through single–factor circulation experiment, that is pH 6, 50℃, 6h.After treated under this condition, P content reached 821μg/g fabric. The wool fabric underwent the test vertical combustion test,and the results showed that it failed to meet flame retardancy standards. In the use of composite flame retardant QY-407 or flame retardant Pyrovatex CP, the flame retardancy of wool fabric was significantly improved, which reached to flame retadancy standards B1. MTG could repair the strength damage during the pretreatment and flame-retardant treatment,at the meantime flame retardant durability of finished wool fabric was improved to some extent. |
