The constraint of the traditional mechanical lapping mechanism restricts the development of the warp knitting industry. It can not adapt to the market competition. Compare with the traditional lapping mechanism, the new generation of the lapping system controlled by the linear servo-motor has some merits. Its superiority manifests in the knitting possibility for some complicated pattern and the convenience for the production. It is a developing trend for the top grade high speed warp knitting machine in the future.The paper introduces the development of the lapping mechanism and the the guide bar movement rule, analyses the research situation of the electronic lapping system in high speed warp knitting machine, indicates the disparity between the research lever of our country and the overseas advanced technology. Study deeply the electronic lapping system, and establish the lapping mechanism under the AC servo system with a PLC control as the core and the PMSM as the drive components, and chose the mechanical components with a ball screw as the main transmission according to the running way of the motor. On the basis of the electronic lapping system, analyze the technological characteristics of the dynamic response of the electronic lapping system by studying the the traditional lapping mechanism. Put forward the ask to the mechanical components and the principle of choosing the movement rule of the guide bar, it meets the requirements of the dynamics characteristics of the dynamic response of the electronic lapping system.
