Cyclopentanol is the main raw material of synthesizing cyclopentanone. The technological route of synthesizing cyclopentanol used cyclopentene as the main raw material by esterification and transesterificaion. This novel technology has the characteristics of high yield and environment-friendly. The thermodynamics of esterification and transesterificaion, reaction technology and the kinetics of transesterificaion were studied. The reaction mechanism of catalyst was also discussed. The main results were as follows:1. The strong acid cation exchange resin catalyst was used in the esterification of cyclopentene and acetic acid, the reaction conditions were the reaction temperature of 65℃, the molar ration ofυ(acetic acid)/υ(cyclopentene) of 3:1, mass space velocity of 2.0 h-1, the single pass conversion of cyclopentene was more than 84%, the selectivity of cycloamyl acetate was around 98%, the activity and selectivity of catalyst was almost invariant after 200h continuous operating. The unreacted cyclopentene and superfluous acetic acid could be reused by distillation recovery. The mass fraction of obtained cycloamyl acetate product from distillation column with theoretical plate of 25 was 99%.2. The strong acid cation exchange resin catalyst was used in the transesterificaion of cycloamyl acetate and methanol, the reaction conditions were the reaction temperature range from 50 to 65℃, the molar ration ofυ(methanol)/υ(cycloamyl acetate) of 3-4:1, mass space velocity less than 2.0h-1, the single pass conversion was more than 50%, the selectivity of cyclopentanol was more than around 99%. The unreacted cycloamyl acetate and superfluous methanol could be reused by distillation recovery. The conversion of cycloamyl acetate was more than 99% and the selectivity of cyclopentanol was 100% with the catalyst of calcium oxide. Based on the thermodynamics and dynamics analysis of transesterificaion, the intrinsic kinetics of transesterificaion with the catalyst of strong acid cation exchange resin was studied after excluded the effect of mass transmission, and the rate equation obtained was as follows:...
