| The many functions GIS possesses, such as the multisource data integration and management, powerful visualization expression, model integration analysis, and so on, had become important techniques for scientific research. This paper will have a detailed analysis of the background which impact on spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of earthquakes in aid of GIS.The paper first reviews the relevant theoretical model, then analyzes the solar-lunar tidal force, which is dominant in Astro-tidal-triggering, and by Calendar conversion, approximately get the corresponding relationship between the angle of the solar-lunar connection to the ground and time cycle. By doing statistics to the time characteristics of earthquake occurrence in different structural conditions and the different energy states, learned that Earthquake triggering time concentrate in the vicinity of synodic day, and this agglomeration phenomena is more obvious in perihelion region of the Earth revolution. This shows that the solar-lunar tidal force could obviously trigger earthquake, but the sun's tidal force to a certain extent disturbs the earthquake triggering probability, the above characteristics is more obvious in the time distribution of deep earthquake, which is of a good relationship with the physical characteristics of the different Earth circles; the above characteristics is more clear in the time distribution of larger magnitude earthquakes, the magnitude of earthquakes is of a relationship with different energy states. Larger magnitude earthquake triggering conditions are harsher, indicating that solar-lunar tidal force is not a dominant force of earthquake triggering, but more likely an auxiliary force.Next, it deeply excavates the catalog data of the earthquake. With the support of GIS and related software, to sum up the steps of strong applicability and the seismic data in text format will be gradually converted to MAPGIS system. Using field theory in physics as a research tool, it will have a comprehensive analysis and discussion on the relevant attributes and features, using the gradient field model to visually describe the impact rules of the moon-to-ground force to the earthquake triggering. Having compared the related features of more than 7 earthquakes on global seismic belt and more than six earthquakes on the Atlantic seismic belt, combined with the global plates distribution, also analyzed the earthquake triggering of the lunar warp tidal force, we found that, the movement of the moon is more seismic-related in low-latitude area, and less seismic-related in high-latitude area. The movement of the moon is more seismic-related in simple plate structure area, and less seismic-related in complex plate structure area. Meanwhile, even if the distance between the center of the sun and of the moon basically unchanged, the movement of the moon around the earth also trigger earthquake in different regions, mainly most earthquakes occurred in the vicinity of mid-day region and the corresponding region, which further shows the lunar tidal force is a triggering effect on earthquake. Finally, the paper summarized the study results and shortcomings, also has a prospect for the future work. |
