Health hazards of smoking have becoming a consensus. There are many ways to get smokers quit smoking, this paper mainly uses the single public health education strategy to achieve this purpose. For quitting smoking issues, this article basing on the related theories of epidemic model discusses the equilibrium point's stability and the Hopf bifurcation's existence condition of PESQ model under public health education strategy.The first chapter introduces the health hazards of smoking and the benefits of quitting smoking, while researching the background and innovative point of the model.In Chapter two, the ordinary differential equation model under public health education is studied and the effectiveness for taking public health education is discussed. We obtained the basic reproductive number by using the next generation method and proved that local asymptotic stability of smoke-free according to the stability of equilibrium point theory and the global stability of smoke-free by constructing Liapunov function. Local stability of smoking-present equilibrium can be obtained by using Hurwitz theorem. Finally, some numerical simulations are also to illustrate our results.In Chapter three, we study the smoking cessation model of an educational cycle and branch conditions for the existence. It is shown that, if RE< 1, then the smoking-free equilibrium is locally asymptotically stable. If RE> 1, the use of the J.K.Hale theoretical proof of local stability of equilibrium point of smoking, as well as branches of existing conditions. Finally, the best education period is given.In the fourth chapter of this paper, we put forward some ideas to improve the quitting smoking model's practicability such as dividing both smoker and quiter to two parts.
