Huangbaiyuan Nature Reserve was built in 2006, and Niuweihe Nature Reserve was built in 2004. Two Nature Reserves are very close, but the giant pandas distributed in two Nature Reserve are divided into two Nature Reserves populations due to agricultural production along Xushuihe River and the road from Huangbaiyuan to Taibai County. We study the microhabitat differences of the giant panda distributed in two Nature Reserves, then we can evaluate the status of two habitats, advance reasonable suggestions for further development, find the similarities and differences in habitat selection of two populations of giant panda, provide some scientific basis for the future protection, development of giant panda'habitat. This text focused on habitat selection of giant panda and interference using band's combination of line transects and quadrat methods. It found the major factor influenced to the habitat selection of giant panda distributed in two Nature Reserves, by the combination of principal component analysis and Vanderloeg (Wi) and Scavia (Ei) index; Calculated appearance frequency of the giant panda under different environment; Analysised appearance frequency of the giant panda under different types of interferential environment ; Summarized the species and fauna component of the giant pandas'coexistent mammals and its relationship with the giant panda. The main findings were as follows:1. Thirteen items have been measured. The results indicated that the main factors influencing the habitat selection by giant panda in Huangbaiyuan Nature Reserve were food, disturbance and vegetation, and in Niuweihe were food, landform and vegetation. Among them, the interference to habitat selection of giant panda were large in Huangbaiyuan Nature Reserve. However, the main ingredients of the principal were mostly complex component factor, very few was single factor. There were insignificant differences for habitation selection of giant panda in altitude, slope aspect, slope position and so on. It was similar for giant panda to choose the distance of water and associated animals.2. Human disturbance have been found within the investigation section in Niuweihe Nature Reserve, none of natural disturbance. Logging, grazing, herbcollection, farming and road appeared years ago, also did mushroom stick frame (other), in which grazing was most common. Natural disturbance and human disturbance have been found within the investigation section in Huangbaiyuan Nature Reserve, with man-made interference mostly common. Where natural disturbance, bamboo bloom was only found; Logging, bamboo shoot collection and harvest bamboo, grazing, poaching, herbcollection, farming and road were in human disturbance, with grazing mostly common.3. There were 12 the giant panda's coexistent mammals found in two reserves, 2 and 7 of which mammals respectively belonged to the first and the second class state key protected wildlife in China, 3 of which belonged to regional important protected wildlife of Shanxi Province. There were 9 oriental species(75%), 2 Palearctic species(17%) and 1 widely-distributed species(8%); Natural enemies were not found in animals such as Panthera pardus and Cuon alpinus. Animals competing in food were found such as Budorcas taxicolor, Selenarctos thibetanus and Sus scrofa. 8 kinds of animals including Budorcas taxicolor, Naemorhedus goral et al were found within the investigation section in Niuweihe Nature Reserve. 10 kinds of animals including Budorcas taxicolor, Naemorhedus goral et al were found within the investigation section in Huangbaiyuan Nature Reserve.
