Chengdu-Kunming railway is in the southwest and great leap Liangshan area of China, and across the famous north-south and the north-south belt of radial seismic belt. High mountains and steep slopes, loose surface material wealth, topographic and geologic conditions are very bad.Special geological background terrain of Chengdu-Kunming railway is the reason of the very development of geological hazards along the basic. In the wide variety of geological disasters, the debris flow is one of the main geological disasters, which have been washed away bridges, buried lines, blocked culverts, washed Su destroyed power stations and other water diversion tunnel.that is a serious threat to the Chengdu-Kunming railway operational safety. This paper and investigates 23 typical debris flows of the regional geological features, incuding the developmental stage, severity and development trends, as well as harmful levels of railway construction; ananalyzes both along the debris flow control works on the current level of development of debris flow adaptability, along the debris flow for proposed remediation measures and regulation of specific rank; statistical analysis of the debris flow scale outbreak, outbreak frequency and its relationship with the railway, to identify debris flow activation conditions to calculate the specific parameters of debris flow. These results of the Chengdu-Kunming Railway K494-K728 section of debris flow research information quantitative and scientific contributions to the development along the railway department for further management to provide a scientific basis for debris flow, improve the environment with the Chengdu-Kunming railway traffic safety positive. The research method can be similar to road and rail for the investigation of geological hazards and risk assessment information.
