With the explosive growth of information technology and the arrive of energy crisis, the demand for the updated information in the modern society can not be met yet. The electrochromism has atttacted a lot of attention to be used probably for a novel paper-like display, and make hope one day this type of paper-like device could replace the traditional paper to be a nouvel type for reading.In this paper, we have fabricated a novel organic-inorganic elctrochromic matrix (4×5) display by simply preparing the nano-crystalline films, with the additional driving signals, it can reveal freely arabic numbers with a high response speed, a broad view-angle, a high contrast ratio, a low power consumption, a stable perfomance, a very low cost, it can meet the demand for simple information displays, has proved a immense potential in the future.(?) The cathode and the anode of the elctrochromic matrix display were composed of nano-scale material films, we prepared porous nano TiO2 semiconductor films and nano capacitive ATO films on the FTO conducting substrate by using screen-printing method and blade coating method, because of the bistable performance, the power consumption was decrease, from which the energy can be largely saved.(?) We synthesised a new electrochromic molecule by using chemical organic synthesis method, the 4,4'-bipyridinium was modified by adding a special chemical group, which could connect with the-OH that located on the surface of TiO2 nanofilms. Therefore, the stability of the electrochromic device was largely increased and the lifetime'of the device was extended correspondingly.(?) We fabricated the patterned cathode by using laser-etching equipement, hence the control of the single pix of the electrochromic device can be realized more precisely.(?) At last, we packaged and assembled the electrochromic matrix display, after the testing, it proved that the E-paper device has absolutely the capability of exceed the E-ink based electronic paper and replacing the current traditional reading device in the future, the day of the reading revolution may come soon.
