Lu Huzhang tin-polymetallic deposit is a magnetite skarn deposit. Through multi-elemental wet chemical analyses, optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence and SEM analysis, in addition to study of ore texture and structures, this thesis tried to investigate the distribution and existing status of tin in the ores of Luhuzhang tin-magnetite deposit of skarn type.(1) The main chemical components of the ores are SiO2,FeO,MgO,CaO,Al2O3,F,Sn, and the content of tin reach the industrial grade.(2) The principal constituent ore minerals are magnetite, cassiterite, nordenskioldine and hulsite. The gangue minerals are mainly clinochlore, augite, fluorite and essonite. The ore has poikilitic texture and xenomorphic granular structure; and has massive structure and impregnation structure.(3) Cassiterite, nordenskioldine and hulsite are the dominant tin carriers in this deposit. They are tiny-grained between 0.01-0.04 millimeters with irregular shapes. The tin minerals are distributed mainly as tiny grains in intergranular gaps of magnetite or as fine inclusions contained in magnetite, with a small part of tin as solid solution substitution in magnetite.(4) The incrustation between tin minerals and magnetite and the occurrence of borate minerals of tin accounts for the low recovery of tin and high difficulty of tin to be separated from magnetite in the ores.
