Flood disaster occurs frequently in China.With the deteriorating of climate and environment,a variety of flood damage do harm to the people more and more,so it is urgent to strengthen and improve the ability of real-time monitoring for rainfall data. However,there are fewer automatic rainfall stations in China and siphon pluviometer is difficult to collect and transmit automatically though it is used widely.lt has system-atic error in measurement in addition.At present,with commonly used siphon pluviometers the automation for rainfall measurement is hard to implement,and metering error occurs often,thus an automatic measuring system based on double-barrel and double siphon weighting pluviometer a nd pluviometer controller has been proposed.This pluviometer eliminates the metering error caused by drained rainfall in siphoning though the struction of double-barrel and double-siphon,and implement the conversion of rainfall data to electric signal by the load cell.Rainfall data is collected,processed automaticly and transmitted to the data center via GPRS network in real-time.The hardware platform of pluviometer controller is built according to the function requirements,including the amplification and filtering module,A/D conversion module,processing module and GPRS wireless transmission module, etc; S3C2440 core and expansion board is used in circuit design in order to realize and debug the system conveniently.Soft environment is constructed completely when the bootloader,Linux kernel,root file system is transplanted in the hardware platform. The code is programmed according to the system function.Multi-task parallel imple menttation is realized by using the multithreading and Socket programming in appli cation layer,the task of real-time acquisition,data processing,interaction and socket communicatin is included.The systerm is tested and debugged at last.The big and small barrel didn't siphon simultaneously and the data was exported by the load cell in testing, so the double-barrel and double siphon weighting pluviom eter can collect the data automaticly,and at the same time the monitoring software running on the server received the real-time rainfall data. The test proved that the system eliminated the system error,and is automated, stable and offers good results.
