In recent years, oligotrophic bacteria has the wide range of applications in medicine, water environment and heavy metals monitoring, as well as soil and desert control, aquaculture, etc. Many ecologists and environmental scientists are regarding oligotrophic bacteria as a new kind of research materials to extensive research. At present, , there are already many reports about Oligotrophic bacteria on its application. For example, in medicine, oligotrophic bacteria can be used to detect the pharmaceutical plant, sterile operating room environmental conditions. On the environment, Oligotrophic bacteria in the water environment, desert control and monitoring of heavy metals also have wide range of applications.This paper based on the climatic characteristics of low-temperature of the region in Inner Mongolia. It contains a large number of oligotrophic bacteria. Isolation and Screening of these bacteria in order to obtain good strains. They will have a better purification on micro-polluted water bodies. Therefore, the pollution will be reduced to a more low-level. Meanwhile, we will study on their oligotrophic characteristics. So we can lay a solid foundation for developing the new water microbiological products. In this study we isolated one oligotrophic bacteria strain TQ5W from Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. We have a evaluation on degradation effect of micro-polluted water in this strain. The CODMn and TOC of the treated water reduced 71.71% and 59.84% in 7 days. The water became much clearer compared with the blank contorl.
