Terahertz (THz) wave, which lies between infrared and microwave in electromagnetic spectrum, belongs to far-infrared band. THz-wave covers the frequency range from 0.1 THz to lOTHz. The eleetromagnetism radiation in this frequency range has very special properties,such as in the regions of condensed matter physics, astrophysics, biology, medicine, security detection. Over the past years, scientists realized so limited for the band's electromagnetic radiation due to the lack of effective method and means of detection that the band was known as the terahertz gap of electromagnetic radiation.furthermore various THz radiation source basing the optical method increasingly showed the outstanding status in numerous the technology produced THz radiation by the predominant characteristic and outstanding merit. In this paper, the significance of THz research, status quo and THz development direction in the future is analyzed. We optimized the THz radiation source basing TPO, The research of these papers is as follow:(1) We briefly analyze the properties of terahertz, main methods and technologies of terahertz generation, detections.Though the optical parametric oscillator over the principle of introduction,explained to no-linear LiNbO3 of THz parametric oscillator.(2) Designed a schema of using micro wire THz F-P resonant cavity to achieve the narrow linewidth tunable monochromatic THz output.The schema added a metal F-P micro-cavity by the original THz source,it can outputted frequency-selective tuning THz beam.From the principle on a detailed analysis shows that it's feasibility.(3) By THz parametric oscillator by producing THz radiation mechanism-Stinulated Raman scattering starting, combination of Born approximation of quantum mechanics, proposed the concep of active radiation zone(THz-wave radiation at the crystal suface range).Experiments to verify the theoretical correctness.(4) Analysed the THz beam by THz parametric oscillator radiated,combined with far-field distribution characteristics.In order to evaluate the quality of THz beam,introducted the quality factor of M2 of optical.According to the characteristics of SE-TPO,using the M2 factor matrix to accurately describe the M2 Through experiments measured the quality factor M2.(5) Analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of various resonant cavity,added optical fiber and the semi-permeable membrane.Ultimately we designed a new SE-TPO of cavity length,tuningsimple,small size.
