| Vegetation is main component of the terrestrial ecosystem, which adjust the ecosystem energy flow and materials cycle, and provide vital resource for human socio-economic activities. Although the climate is decisive factor in vegetation distribution, but the development and succession of regional vegetation affected by human activities, especially in the short time scale, this effects influence is more remarkable. In Beibei District, it's mainly affected by the humid subtropical monsoon climate, and the main vegetation type is the subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest vegetation, the short-term climate change little effect on vegetation cover. Therefore, taking Beibei District as a research example, it can be suppress interference of climate change factors, which is advantage to study the impacts of vegetation cover changes on economic development.Therefore, the use of LANDSAT TM image as the main data source, combined with the socio-economic data of Beibei District, analysis of economic development on the impact of vegetation cover. It can be fast and efficient obtain the surface-and-spatial dynamic changes information from an overall, systematic and real-time perspective though Remote sensing, and it is widely used in vegetation cover change study. Based on the collection, summary the research results at home and abroad, this paper research the vegetation cover change in Beibei District from 1995 to 2007 by the RS and GIS technology, and studied the correlation between economic development and vegetation cover change. By analyzing and summary domestic and international research experience and results, this paper made the following aspects of work:(1) Analyze the profile of the study area, mainly including socio-economic profile, geographic location, climatic characteristics, topography, water and soil and vegetation; at the same time, elaborated research methods used in this paper, including the sources of information and handling methods, as well as the study of the technical line.(2) The more detail analyze of changes in the economic development of Beibei District, which used the economic and social development data about Beibei District since 1995, Include GDP, industrial structure, population, urbanization, land use and so on. (3) Adopted the Landsat TM remote sensing images in 1995,2001,2007, after remote sensing image processing, to extract vegetation information, and Conduct a series of data processing supported by GIS system, then analyzed characteristics of vegetation changes from 1995 to 2007.(4) Based on the full analysis of vegetation cover change and economic change in Beibei District, economic development and changes of vegetation cover change and correlation analysis, mainly including the correlation between GDP, industrial structure, population, urbanization and land-use and changes in vegetation cover.By studying the relationship between the vegetation cover change and economic development, this paper reached the following conclusions:First, in the 1995-2001 year, the vegetation cover gradual decline in Beibei District, the area reduce region main distributed in the towns and surrounding, Some rural areas(include mountain area) was a marginal reduction. From 2001 to 2007, the vegetation covers recovery, It increased 28.66km~2 compared to 2001, the increase mainly in the rural areas, but the reduced area ratio less the previous phase in the surrounding towns.Second, adopt comparative analysis of different periods and different levels of vegetation coverage, the results show that vegetation cover in general is better Since 1995, Beibei District, but coverage declined, mainly in the coverage of high school between the changes in coverage and the proportion of low-coverage gradually increased, At the same time, the Vegetation cover change is also manifested as stage and the regional.Third,â‘ From the horizontal view, GDP, POP and vegetation coverage was a significant negative inter-correlation, In other words, with the yield per unit area GDP growth and increasing population density, vegetation coverage will drop; From the vertical view, along with economic development and population increase, the vegetation cover occurred rising after declined, but the trend is downward on the overall.â‘¡There is Strong correlation between the industrial structure changes and the vegetation coverage change. But the performance of a reasonable industrial structure is conducive to vegetation activity on the overall.â‘¢In the higher urbanization rate region, the degree of vegetation coverage was significantly lower than low urbanization rate region, they are showed a significant negative correlation in space.â‘£The activity and distribution of vegetation directly affect by land use change, to a certain extent, reasonable land use structure can increase the vegetation cover, both likely to increase vegetation coverage also may reduce the vegetation coverage if change land use patterns and structures. |
