The regular operation of the railway has been seriously influenced by the frequent outbreaks of geological disasters along the railway. Nearly 80% of the existing railways in our country are located in mountainous or hilly areas. Mountain geological disasters caused serious impact to the country's railway system both in society and in economics. This paper, based on data from geological hazards research of Bao-Cheng railway, analyses the geological background of the formation of geological disasters of Bao-Cheng railway in feng country, summarizes the growth characteristics of geological hazards along the railway, researches controlling factors of the geological hazards along the Bao-Cheng Railway in Fengxian country and establishes evaluation of geological hazards along the Bao-Cheng railway. Finally, the paper works out the vulnerability zonation and risk assessment of the geological disasters along the Bao-Cheng railway in Fengxian country. From those studies, the paper provides the basis for the prevention to the geological disasters along existing Bao-cheng railway in Fengxian country. The main research works in this thesis are as follows:(1) Development features of geological disasters along Bao-Cheng railway: Based on the data from geological hazards research along Bao-Cheng railway in Feng country, the thesis analyses the types and distributions of geological disasters in the region. By detailed analysis of development characteristics of geological disasters along Bao-Cheng railway, the paper studies inside and outside the dynamic function affecting the formation of geological disasters along the Bao-Cheng railway and qualitatively analyses of its stability.(2) A performance evaluation index system of geological disasters along Bao-Cheng railway: Based on the geological background of geological disasters and the characteristics of geological hazards along the Bao-Cheng railway, the thesis initially establishes evaluation indicators of geological disasters along the railway and selects topography, lithology, geological structure, soil structure and human engineering activities as the main impact indicators of the geological hazards.(3) Susceptibility zoning of geological disasters along Bao-Cheng railway: To combine information model and ARCGIS, extracting the factors layers, determining the value of index information using of information model and overlying the factors layers, thus the paper gets the susceptibility zoning map. Finally, it classifies geological hazard susceptibility along Bao-Cheng railway in Feng country.(4) Risk assessment of geological disasters along Bao-Cheng railway: Based on the susceptibility evaluation of geological disasters along Bao-Cheng railway, the thesis, from the stability of the existing geological disaster, deformation history, the maximum distance of the potential slip, extended range frequency of history collapse and landslide, considers the risk factors of geological hazards. According to size and probability matrix of potential geological disasters, considering the dynamic triggers and using the macro method of qualitative analysis one by one, it gets the risk assessment of geological hazards along Bao-Cheng railway in Feng country.
