Optical quantum well is in the composition of a photonic crystal is inserted into another photonic crystals with different energy band structures.Since the different energy levels of the trap energy level and barrier region,photon-quantum-well state in the light of the cycle is different with a simple periodicity structure,which implies particular optical performance.The transmission properties of 1D symmetrical photonic quantum-well in the form(AB)m(ABBA)n(BA)m were studied in detail,including:1.Using transfer matrix method,for a certain form (AB)m(CD)n(BA)m photonic quantum-well and a given photonic quantum-well(AB)m(BA)m periodicity,two transmission spectrums with same structures and properties are located in the two sides of the center lengthλ0,and the number of the transmission spectrums is same as(n-1) of the photonic quantum-well(CD).2.Also on this basis of section 1 to discuss the introduction of a negative refractive index materials with negative refractive index materials containing quantum-well optical transmission characteristics of the structure.Quantum well structure of optical transmission spectrum only appeared a local state in the center frequency when n is odd;For the case of even number n,Well there were two symmetrical about the frequency of the local state,and the corresponding transmission peak width of the peak cut-off also change with that.This innovation has the potential application in designing the wavelength division multiplexing system.3.Many investigations have been done for the 1D optical quantum well with the form of(AB)m(ABBA)n(BA)m The results showed that:a significant influence was found in the photonic band gaps and the transmission rate of the structures due to the different periodicity of the photonic well region and bamer region and the different rates between high and low refractive index of the medium A and medium B;however, the choice of different center wavelengths also had an effect in the band gap position of photonic quantum-well.In order to make the optical switches,optical filter etc more preciously,it is very necessary to considerate of these integrated factors.
