Simulation theory will be applied to the experimental study of microcosmic remaining oil in the paper. Building two types model: pore throat simulation model and computer model, do real displace and virtual displace experiment respectively .Using the result in the study of the form process and distribution of microcosmic remaining oil in different deposition types of reservoir.The main idea of simulation theory is refining the system and simplifies the extraction of its basic characteristics and build appropriate model, and experiment in this model. The real displace experiment in pore throat simulation model sculpture the pore structure of cast slice in a glass slice. The glass slice has same wettability of reservoir sample. The experiment surroundings, such as temperature, pressure, oil and water's character, are made like true geology environment as far as possible. These preparation will restore the real underground displace process. The simulation experiment based computer simulation model is carried out on the computer entirely, using the image processing technology to identify the pore structure of sample slice, building the infiltrating fluid model, and use of VC + + combined with OpenGL implementation for simulation program. The two experimental methods have their own advantages. Using two kinds of method in the same reservoir sample and comparison of the experimental results, pointed out that the two types of percolation mechanism: onrush and moistening, and summed up the percolation appearance which cause the micro remaining oil formed, such as the fingering, the circumferential motion, the cutout, etc, describe the sharp of remaining oil in different types of reservoir sample, at the same time point out the corresponding measures for improvement. The results for improving the efficiency of water flooding to enhance oil recovery rate has a certain theoretical and practical significance.The pore structure of reservoir has fractal character at a certain scale, there're exist some better correlation between the fractal dimension and the physical properties of reservoir parameters or pore structure simulation model to the three-dimensional space.
