Frozen soil distributes broad in China. With the development of the economy, more and more building was built over Frozen soil. Monitoring of frost-thawing interface is very important to design, construction and maintenance.Until now, major observation techniques of frost-thawing interface mainly include pitting and Embedded Transducer. But these methods is the cost in time and effort. With the progress of the major mechanisms of seismoelectric and study of method, this paper explored the possibilities of monitoring of frost-thawing interface by seismoelectric.First, we introduced the relational research of frozen soil. Second, the discussion revolves around the application of Physical Model Study. The method is widely used in the fields of Geophysical, its method and theory are already comparatively mature and perfect, and the successful experience is worthy of learning from them. Then, on the basis of predecessors' work, model structure was further readjusted and improved to come nearer the truth. The design and improvement of model is the difficulty, for example, model size and stability of interface etc. On the basis of seismoelectric, the accumulation of ion in frost-thawing interface and the generation of Double Layer require to be continued a certain time. The results from the present investigation suggest that it takes about four to five hours to generate Double layer, so the stable time of interface is about seven to eight in this experiment is reasonable. And aim at problems of source, electrode and collection system etc, are proposed and is improving, with favourable results. On the basis of the firsthand experimental data, by experiment date analysis and signal characteristics research as well as comparing with other study, we determined the existence of seismoelectric of frost-thawing interface. Then, the seismoelectric of frozen soil in Qinghai-Tibetan plateau was observed in the field. And we made some useful attempt to observe seismoelectric in the field.
