| Geopark is a compound word, which is combined by geology and park. The geopark is a kind of special district; it takes having special science meaning, extremely high ornamental and tourist value, rare geo-relics as corpus, at the same time, it still comprises other natural landscapes and human landscapes. The establishment of geopark is favorable not only for protecting the geo-relics, restoring the geological and ecological environment, but also for developing science travel, popularizing the geological knowledge ,promoting regional economic growth.The national geopark is selected on a nationwide scale. The geo-relics that the national geopark include have the important position of extremely high scientific value or the national meaning. Recent years, building national geopark to protect geo-relics has been an effective method. By now, a total of 138 national geoparks has been formally set up in china. Along with the increase of national geopark amount, the construction quality of national geopark became a common concern of society. An integrated and scientific evaluation system of national geopark not only can provide the science basis with the selection of national geopark, but also can have push function to protection work of geo- relics.On the basis of the research and practices of geopark evaluation by predecessors, the evaluation system of national geopark has established through using the analytic hierarchy process method (APH), the Delphi method and the method of assign fuzzy value. By using this evaluation system to Shanxi Province's two national geopark, finally indicated this evaluation system of national geopark has practical and applicable value. By analysis, this article draws conclusions and generalized the characteristics of the national geopark and development actuality and gave accounts of problems in the development and establishment of the national geopark, and some measures were brought forward.
