The Consideration On Several Problems Of Optics Teaching

Today modern science and technology are developing at a high speed. Optics is playing an extremely important role in the modern social life. The development of optics technology not only has brought us transformation of physical civilization, but also is epitome of development of technology. So it is the essence of human wisdom. The technical innovation and ideas in design and research method offer rich teaching resources for optic teaching. Optics is one of the important branches of physics and a subject with better appliance in university physics teaching. Learning optics is very meaningful for college students who major in physics : Optic ideology,method and optic forward position science have brought great influence on modern life. The thinking mode of optics knowledge and scientific method is playing an important role in enlightening students'innovative thinking.However, teaching optics, there exists an awkward situation that this subject is very difficult to learn and teach. Quite a few students are afraid of learning it. Therefore it is very difficult to improve the students'comprehensive quality and arouse theirs'interest in optics.This article has mainly studied a series of problems which are needed to solve in optics teaching, and put forward some suggestions about the theory and practice. Firstly the article explains present situation in optics teaching and recalls a number of achievements in optics teaching. Then the text raises some actual problems in optic teaching and demonstrates important teaching values of optic technology and optic research method. After that, the text discusses how to link optics in univerisity and the ones in high school on teaching contents and teaching method. Then the author brings forward a practical approach in teaching: Cultivating students'self-access learning ability in optics teaching. After that, the text tries to apply the development history of optics to optics teaching appropriately, and puts forward some suggestions on modernization of optics teaching especially on teaching contents and methods. Finally the text provides several considerations about some problems of optics teaching and brings forward expectations to further research.
