Nanjin Zijinshan is a well-known Scenic Spot. Based on the data of 38 quadrats, community ecology, population ecology and comprehensive evaluation of main forests are studied in this paper. Main research results as follows:1 Quercus variabilis has the highest niche breadth, however, the similarity extent of using resources of whole community is quite low. Q. variabilis is a declining population. Its spatial pattern is clumped distribution. Most of species pairs show negative or low association.2 The spindle-shaped age structure of Liquidambar formosana indicates that the species is in recession. The process of community succession still be able to maintain the stability of deciduous broad-leaved forest structure.3 In addition to the richness index of herb layer, species diversity indices of Phyllostachys pubescens community were smaller than those of the broad-leaved forest in same habitats. Increasing the canopy density and density of broad-leaved forest maybe a appropriate way to solve this problem, then P. pubescens can decline in the forest naturally.4 Lagerstroemia indica shrub is the most common shrub in Zijinshan. Great species density leads to high competition from interspecies and intraspecies. As a result, there are many dead standing trees in the forest.5 Cunninghamia lanceolata is still a dominant species in the community, however, the original coniferious forest has turned into a coniferous-broadleafed mixed forest which needs more upbringing and management.6 Sinoadina racemosa dominates in tree layer unobviously and co-exist with other trees.A shortage of seedlings and spindle-shaped size class structure suggest that the population of S. racemosa is in recession.7 The quantitative indices are combined with qualitative indices in evaluation index system. Applying analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to determine the weights of various indices. The grading of Q. variabilis community isâ… ; C. lanceolata community,L. formosana community,L. indica community and S. racemosa community areâ…¡; P. pubescens community isâ…¢.
