A Taxonomic Study On The Genus Viola In Henan

In this dissertation, the study history of Viola L. was reviewed and summarized. Based on evidence from morphology and geography, the toxonomical revision of Viola L. in Henan were studied.By identifying the specimens and taxonomic study, 23 species , 1 varieties and 1 forma of Viola in Henan were recognized. which belong to 3 sections and 5 subsections. Four new recorded species which are Viola mongolica Franch.,Viola tenuicornis W. Becker,Viola striatella H. Boissieu,Viola diamantiaca Nakai. Eight species and one varieties are added in Flora of Henan. One names have been revised in Flora of Henan as follows: Viola verecunda A. Gray should be Viola arcuata Blume. Two names in Flora of Henan as follows:Viola selkirkii Pursh had been treated wrongly of Viola pekinensis W. Becker,Viola phalacrocarpa Maxim. had been treated wrongly of Viola prionantha Bunge. Author ensure Viola patrinii DC. ex Ging.,Viola rossii Hemsl.,Viola stewardiana W. Becker in Flora of Henan was not distributed in Henan.To Viola magnifica C. J. Wang & X. D. Wang from Flora of China of the sect. Vaginatae adjusted to Sect.Viola, Subsect. Adnatae, Ser. Adnatae. Support Becker (1925) on the system Handling about Sect., support combine Flora of China of Sect. Trigonocarpae into Sect. Viola, Sect. Pinnatae into Sect. Adnatae. One forma name and two serie name were combined:Ser. Rostratae (Kupffer) Z. Y. Liu & C. S. Zhu,Ser. Adantae(W. Becker) Z. Y. Liu & C. S. Zhu,and Viola diffusa Ging f. brevibarbata (C. J. Wang) Z. Y. Liu & C. S. Zhu.Moreover, an systemtic arrangement on the genus in Henan province and an artificial key to sections and species of Viola were made. Their distributions, habits and main uses were described. The names of some species was discussed. the chromosome number of Viola arcuata Blume was verified.
