| The feminism start at the later of 20th century, a period in which several philosophical movements including post-colonialism and environmentalism act. As a part of this movement, post-modern feminism becomes the most significant theory to make the feminism theory more dynamic. Donna Hawary is an American post-modern feminist scholar and famous philosopher of science. This thesis aims at the context, intention, characteristic, significance and limitation of Haraway's post-modern feminist Philosophy of Science. Based on the summarization of correlative works and theories, the author firstly introduces Donna Haraway and her works, and then classifies her theory into five parts, in order to make her theory clearer in logic and accuracy. The most important part of this article is to present and comment on her three ideas: scientific objectivity, Dualist deconstruction and the critical technology. She reannotats scientific objectivity and also proposes a new standard: Situated Knowledge. Haraway's critique does not stand alone, but belongs to a broader discussion within poststructuralist feminist theory which has been concerned by denaturalizing the female body for feminist knowledge projects, and with deconstructing women's position as autonomous epistemic agents. The author tries to compare Haraway's theory with the other feminist schools to make a general comment on her philosophy. In addition, the author plans to summarize the essence and the character of her philosophy, expounds its practical significance, and points out its limitation. |
