The ecological study of metazoan zooplankton was conducted on eight typical sampling stations in Jingpo Lake during April 2006, July 2006, October 2006 and January 2007. All the samplings were carried on qualitative and quantitative analysis in laboratory. Metazoan zooplankton communities and biodiversity were examined by multivariate statistic analysis. The correlation between metazoan zooplankton and environmental factors was determined by grey relational analysis. The paper provided referenced evidence for the management of water resource in Jinpo Lake.Twenty-nine species were identified, among which there were 12 Rotifer species in 4 family, 5 Cladocera species in 3 family and 12 Copepoda species in 2 family. The annual average density and biomass were 17.2ind./L and 0.545mg/L. The normal metazoan zooplankton species were Daphnia cucullata, Cyclops vicinus, Microcyclops javanus, Thermocyclops vermifer, Acanthodiaptomus pacificus, Neutrodiaptomus pachypoditus in the whole research period.In the research period, Shannon-Wiener's index was from 3.34 to 3.84 and Pielou's index was from 0.72 to 0.85. The seasonal variation of Shannon-wiener's index and Pielou's index were autumn> spring> summer> winter and autumn> winter> summer> spring. Based on Pearson analysis, under the season variations, the diversity index of Rotifera had a negative linear relationship with its evenness (r=-0.975, p<0.05). Under the variations of sampling sits, the diversity index of Rotifera had a positive linear relationship with its species (p<0.01) and biomass (p<0.05) and the diversity index of Copepoda showed a positive linear relationship with its species (p<0.001), density (p<0.05), biomass (p<0.05) and evenness (p<0.01). The results of Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) revealed that the metazoan zooplankton community structure in Jinpo Lake was classified as four groups, the dissimilarity is lower within one group and higher among different groups.The results of grey relational analysis showed that the seriously correlative environmental factor with density is water temperature in spring and winter, but chla in autumn and winter. And the seriously correlative environmental factor with biomass is water temperature in spring and winter, but pH in summer, chla in autumn.
