The remote sensing image from satellite sensor in the visible is affected by the presence of the atmosphere and thus the image is differing from the target itself.directly characterize the surface objects. It becomes serious impediments for the quantitative analysis and measurement of resources and environment.Ergo, the atmospheric effects are necessary to be removed, especially in land surface remote sensing and applications.Based on analyses all kinds of atmospheric effect in the process of acquiring remote sensing image, interviewing the common principle of atmospheric correction and summarize it.TM and MODIS visible image is executed atmospheric correction using two atmospheric radiative transfer model,6S(Second Simulation of Satellite Signal in the Solar Spectrum)and MODTRAN(Moderate resolution atmospheric Transmittance and Radiance code). The radiative transfer equation atmospheric model is validated in the RS datas in northeast area. Finally, through analysis, discussed the atmospheric correction methods in the remote image processing. And 6S adapts to correct the image of desert area,FLAASH adapts to correct the image of northeast forest area.FLAASH is fit used to correct MODIS.
