STEAM JET is a fluid mixing machinery using high pressure steam to pump low pressure steam.As a device in Low Temperature Multi-Effect Distillation,it can use low-grade heat extraction of the power plant,and increase gained output ratio. In virtue of FLUENT software,the numerical simulation of the fluid flow in STEAM JET was carried out.The appropriate mathematical models and calculation method were chose.On the basis of the result of simulation,the fluid flow in STEAM JET was analysed.The state point of diffuser throat in steam jet was calculated with the direction of Improved Thermodynamic Method.One of certain steam jet device in power plant was chose for the geometry model.Through the analysis and calculation of result,the mathematical models which can reflect the actual flow field was chose.The Main results of this paper are given as follows:The steam at the diffuser throat can only be saturated steam or superheated steam.In order to reduce the irreversible losses,it must be saturated steam at the throat of diffuser.The results can guide the engineering design and practical operation.
