In the recent years, researches and applications related to visual simulation have been gaining widespread attention. As the needs of the navy's future development and the important content of navy's digital development, underwater visual simulation becomes a hot research. The data organization and data scheduling of Underwater Visual Simulation are the main studies of the thesis. By comparing the underwater environment and land environment, the idea of layered water body is proposed, and a model of underwater environment named UM is given. Then a model of data organization based on layer and block structure of marine geographic data is proposed. On data scheduling, a method of rough-positioning and fine-positioning is adopted. In order to filtrate the invisible data block, a depth filter is adopted. In the face of the requirement of the visual simulation system, a data prefetch strategy is introduced by using an expanded View-Frustum. At last a scheduling framework based on asynchronous data request is given. The data organization model and its corresponding data scheduling method given in the thesis can reduce the data quantity of the visual simulation process and meet the requirements of underwater visual simulation system.
