With the ceaseless development of GIS technology and the combination of other academic fields and GIS. Applications of GIS have changed fundamentally. On the one hand, its application fields develop from initial several professional fields to various society fields, and it becomes a basic application tool for spatial information processing. On the other hand, the need of GIS application develops from initial acquisition, management and query of spatial information to integration, analysis, processing and applications of spatial information. Thereinto, the analysis need of the spatial ubiety and spatial correlativity is the most prominent. Geographic Network analysis, as the important part of spatial analysis, is the main content and main study means of spatial ubiety and spatial correlativity research.Firstly, this article investigates GIS spatial data model. By comparing the characteristics of the three data models, it expatiates the advantage of spatial analysis method basing on the vector model. It stores network structure with adjacency list. This paper focuses on the analysis of the shortest path analysis of network analysis. First of all, the basic information on the network is calculated. In order to save the search time, the positive direction search or reverse direction search is chose according to the special features of the various networks, and then it presents the thought and concrete steps of the shortest path analysis by scanning layer by layer from start node to end node. In last chapter, the network analysis results are showed.Basing on the theory mentioned above, this text designs and implements a prototype GIS AutoGIS platform by using object-oriented programming and Visual C++ development environment. A module for drawing and editting graphics which can interactively protract point, line, plane, network and so on by using the mouse or the keyboard is designed; diversification is achieved for the style of point, line and plane. Appending, changing, saving and loading of attribute data and two-way query between graphical object and attribute data are also achieved. The shortest path analysis of network and other spatial analysis functions are designed and realized. Important functions required by a GIS software are basically realized.
