WebGis,the product of GIS development Web-based, is one of the main research directions of geographic information system in current,which provides a convenient, fast, intuitive way for the release of information to the public. The soil erosion information release system based on WebGIS can timely, accurately and systematically publish the information of soil erosion and effectiveness of governance,so that more people can share the date, and which can provide basic information for soil erosion control measures and treatment evaluation,also can provide the scientific basis for decision-making for the government departments.In the thesis the development of the presentation and implementation of public information based on web is summarized and analyzed aiming at their technology characteristic. Then,we propose some approaches of presentation and implementation of the soil and water conservation monitoring information of HUBEI province based on web.The main conclusions are as following:With the research and analysis of the characteristics of soil erosion monitoring information of HuBei province which involve data contents, data format, data application target etc, and the demand to transmission information in the web environment, spatial data and non-spatial data were stored and managed in the uniform platform based on Oracle and ArcSDE and it make a good condition to the publish of soil erosion.After the research in methods and techniques of current public information release system based on WebGIS,combining the characteristics of soil in HuBei province and object-oriented, ArcXML, Javascript, c # ,ASP, components etc, to find a best method to publican different soil erosion information. To soil erosion as the theme, the interface layout, design and map display, as far as possible consistent with the characteristics of soil and water conservation, mean while which should be the simple and intuitive as possible. It is come true to achieve a GIS operations Web-based and the query of graphics and attribute data etc. In this paper, the research results can be applied to the HuBei Provincial Water and Soil Conservation monitoring network and information system, and which can provide service for public, can provide the basic information for prevention and cure of soil erosion and rational use of water and land resources, what's more the arm is order to improve the ecological environment, achieving Sustainable development strategy to provide a scientific basis for decision making.
