The RFT Log Data Interpretation Method Study And Processing Software Development

RFT(repeated formation test) is an effective measure to acquire stratum pressure. This thesis explores the technology to process and interpret RFT log data.To process the data, it established the method that the computer will automatically collect the pressure and interval. It is inefficient and imprecise to get the pressure and time by hands. We can use computers to collect data, including mud-pressure, type of testing, auto-recognizing starting time, second starting time and pressure-regaining time. It is preferable in logging process.To recognize liquid-flow state, it can more accurately calculate different kinds of data including stratum permeability through recognizing the liquid-flow state. The liquid flow has two original models: orbicular flow and radial flow. It can be recognized using the pressure-regaining data from RFT.To calculate permeability, there are two methods, which are fall of pressure and regaining of pressure. The state of liquid-flow can be recognized. Before the permeability can only be got by method of pressure fall, the precision is low. The original data was not used enough. Now two methods can be taken to calculate the effective permeability using the pressure curve. It is more precise to use integral arithmetic.The processing software has been developed according to the research methods. There are four aspects about the software.(1) To pick up the pressure and interval automatically and artificially. Pressure and interval are the basic data in the source. It is the key point to pick up the data precisely and easily.(2) To calculate the permeabilityThe main result of FRT processing software is gaining permeability. The software can calculate the permeability more precisely than before.(3) To recognize the state of liquid-flow.Before, the old processing software cannot recognize the state of liquid-flow. Now, the software can recognize the models, which is the base to calculate permeability precisely.(4) To output the result table.The software can display and output the result table and pressure profile plot. The output module can rectify data according to the vertical depth.With a good graph user interface, the system can calculate various parameters automatically, edit and output the profile plot, including the pressure result table. The software can correct the result table and pressure profile automatically according to the depth change. The software has been used to process 30 log data. Acquire economical profit obviously.
