The engineering geological conditions is very complex, with cracked wall rock,big crustal stress and soft stratum in Jin chuan mine, which bring on low bit life and efficiency,bit sliding,the frequent accidents, especially low ore taken core rate and drilling scrapped in the construction of drilling, which seriously hamper the progress of the mine exploration engineering and affect the drilling efficiency and benefit. Therefore this topic study the bit quantitative design theory, test the rock, -trial-produce and test the bit matrix, trial-produce and teste the bit, adjustthe programme through field test feedback information, and make comprehensive assessment method for the bit basing on the field investigation and laboratory testing. The main results obtained are as follows:1. There are mostly mixed rock and ultrabasic rock in Jin chuan mine, the soft and hard rock is frequently interbedded. The mixed rock is appropriate to drill with the wear-resistant diamond drilling bits because of containing much rock quartz and feldspar, and the ultrabasic rock is contrary. Adding a small amount of ultra-high hard mixed rock, we must design three different properties of diamond drill bits aiming at the stratums, and the bits must cope with three different rocks.2. This paper study the stress state before breaking rock and the broken process, and find out the expression to bit-rock interaction using the tribology, and arrive at the boundary conditions to the normal drilling.3. This paper study the state of the lip of the diamond bit which contain the diamond protrusion,the cutting depth of the diamond and lip-pressure distribution of the lip of the diamond bit, and then study the quantitative theory for designing diamond bit basing on analyzing the state of the lip of the diamond bit.4. This paper study the cladding technique for the diamond and laminating technique for the matrix, two tiered technical integration also. This paper choose the excellent matrix composition the high efficiency impregnated diamond bits, which contain: 45 percent of tungsten carbide,10 percent of cobalt,8 percent of nickel,7 percent of manganese and 10 percent of CuSn10.5. This paper design and manufacture the three series of eight varieties diamond bit. It can be found the diamond bits are superior to other similar bits regardless of life and aging, the best bit reach the life of 384.0 m and the aging of 2.5 m / h.
