Frozen Clay covers 50% of the earth surface, accounting for 75% of our national territory area. Its existence and its revolution have a close contact with the human being's surviving environment and engineering constructions. Along with the economy development in the cold area, people have built many new buildings in those areas, such as the construction of the road engineering, waterpower engineering, tunnel engineering, industrial and civil engineering construction .etc. With more and more engineering construction built up in the cold area, more and more problems have come out. In order to exploit the cold area and ensure the stability and safety of the construction in such area, the research of frozen Clay becomes significant. The research of frozen Clay engineering includes the engineering research in cold area (the engineering research in cold area includes frozen Clay physics mechanics property research) and the engineering research of artificial frost. Frozen Clay physics mechanics property research is the basic theory research of frozen engineering. But the drillability of frozen Clay is one of the indexes, which is of great importance during the process of the design and construction of frozen Clay engineering .As a result, the research of the drillability of frozen Clay is of vital significance in practice, especially in the...
