Tsunami is one of the worst ocean disasters that many littoral countries in the world suffered, and it's also one of the most significant natural disasters that determined by U.N. in"International disasters reduction decade". Although tsunami doesn't often happen, it happens as a huge calamity to human. To China, although the coastline of our country is long, fortunately tsunami nearly doesn't appear and has relatively less damage to us because of the advantaged natural conditions we have. But it doesn't mean that it never happened. China is the earliest country that has earthquake tsunami record, for 2000 years there has been about 25 earthquake tsunami happened, most of which happened in Taiwan province and south seacoast of China. Thus we cannot ignore the tsunami influences to our country and should study it further.In this dissertation, we applied the matching of inner solution and out solution method and stationary phased method to derive the solution of three-dimensional water wave equations induced by earthquake, which is the theoretical equation of earthquake tsunami, and then apply this equation to simulate trans-oceanic tsunamis and local tsunamis. The author starts from continuity equation and N-S equation, derives trans-oceanic tsunami control equations in spherical coordinates and local tsunami control equations in Cartesian coordinate system, builds respectively the trans-oceanic tsunami numerical model and local tsunami numerical model, and uses ADI (Alternating Direction Implicit) format of finite difference method to calculate them.The author applied the trans-oceanic tsunami numerical model to calculate earthquake tsunami, build a tsunami wave propagation numerical model of the earth and simulate an earthquake tsunami happened in ocean. The author also applies the local tsunami numerical model to calculate off-shore earthquake tsunamis, build a local tsunami wave propagation numerical model and simulate an earthquake tsunami happened in Taiwan Strait.In simulation of local tsunami wave propagation, according to the different shapes of earthquake epicenters, the model can be divided into point epicenter earthquake tsunami wave model and banding epicenter earthquake tsunami wave model, and we simulate the both. From the simulated results, it indicates that the calculate results are basically consistent with actual fact, which is also shown by the basic correspondence match between theoretical solution and numerical simulation results.
