By looking back to the existence and development of employee satisfaction index (ESI), this dissertation discusses the present ESI technology and data analysis in both research and practice field, and then concludes the most influential elements, management direction, and research focus of ESI.The data quoted in this dissertation comes from the present theory and the ESI survey for more than 100 companies in Shanghai 2003. I believe that to reflect the most influential elements of ESI in Chinese company management in such a more objective and effective way will do some help to the recent research and practice of ESI.By making use of the ESI technology from home and abroad to establish an index system, collecting a large number of data and using such methods as variance analysis and multivariate analysis, this dissertation does research on statistic analysis and realization methods for the most influential elements of ESI from the view of employees' characters and demands. There are 3 steps altogether:From the view of employees' characters: eight influential elements of both individual and team level are concluded. After analysis and check by correlation coefficient of ESI variable and regression analysis, the influential elements. From the view of employees' demands: according to Mr. Herzberg's e two-factor theory and making a cluster analysis, I divide some demands group of different employees to analyze the features of these group and their changing trends with ESI.Make clear the internal and external differences of individuals to establish a ESI function, which can recognize the group differences of ESI.This dissertation aims to do some statistic research about the influential elements of ESI on the base of data analysis, try to provide a reasonable tool and method for ESI fieldwork, data analysis and entrepreneur management.
