The Standard of Geography Spatial Data Distribution Service is a yardstick for scaling geography information distribution service quality and a bridge for geography information exchanging. The establishment of the standard is a basic work in the informatization process of national economy and society in shanghai, and has a realistic meaning to promote the common sharing of the geography spatial data.In order to make the sharing of geographic spatial data efficiently and change the present situation that many of the geographic spatial data are isolated and repeated constructed, it is an urgent need to establish a Standard for Geography Spatial Data Distribution Service to satisfy the social people' needs for geography information service.Based on the study of "The Standard of Geography Spatial Data Distribution Service", this paper is mainly about the basic theories and methods of the geography spatial data distribution. After a carefully study on the standards about the classifications, encoding methods, management on the geographic spatial data distribution services and geographic spatial data network service currently used in shanghai, we gained a stage achievement—The Geographic Spatial Data Distribution Services Standard of Shanghai.The total thesis is divided into five chapters. Chapter 1 is "Introduction", in which the background, research status, meaning and the main content of this paper is introduced. Chapter 2 is "the theory and technical support of the geographic spatial data distribution". In this chapter, after the instruction of the technical support and the basic theory, we summarized the principle, system, mode and technologies that can be used in the geographic spatial data distribution service. Chapter 3 is "the framework of the standard for geography spatial data distribution service". We discussed the process and principle in the establishment of a standard, based on which he framework of geography spatial data distribution service is given. The chapter 4 is "the establishment process of the geographic spatial data distribution service standard for shanghai". We showed the construction process through four aspects, which are the classification and coding, metadata, service center for data distribution and the management of distribution services. The chapter 5 is "conclusion and prospect", in which we summarized what we have done and what we gained in this paper, and proposed what should be done in the future.Achievements in the paper are summarized as following:(1) We established a framework of standard system for geography spatial data distribution service in Shanghai based on the program and the principle of standard for geography spatial data distribution service.(2) We established a standard to classify and encode the geography spatial data based on the needs of the distribution service.(3) We proposed a draft management standard in details about the distribution service center and subcenters.(4)According to the plan based on the Shanghai underground spatial information base platform management, we propose the Shanghai geography spatial data distribution service center construction plan.(5) According to the Shanghai GIS construction pra(?)tice, we established the Shanghai geography spatial data distribution service standard (draft).
