Study On WebGIS-Based Sport Games Information System

With the development of the Internet,the information superhighway,the computer technology,the remote sensing technology(RS),the global positioning system(GPS),the digital communication technology,the national information infrastructure(NII),the national information network(NIN) and so on,the geographic information system(GIS) become more and more popular in different industries. It is not only feasible but also extremely necessary to apply GIS in the sports field especially in large-scale sports/games competition. With the discussion and the analysis of GIS application field,and combine with successful experience on other fields for GIS application. Regarding this,in this paper the construction frame and the construction content (Including time information and spatial information are gathering, memorizing,processing,sharing,exchanging and comprehensively applying) of sports geographic information system will firstly been studied thoroughly. And based on this construction idea,Public Service Geographic Information System of the sixth Asian Winter Games in Changchun has been designed and developed. During the games,public service information , including sports information , competition facility information , athletes information,sports event live information,region tour information, have been provided from the system to the tourists home and overseas ,the athletes,as well as the social public. In fact, at this session of intercontinental games,the system works very well and becomes popular soon with the functions of E-map and WEBGIS. The general social public's high praise has been received. This is the new attempt and the application of GIS technology in the comprehensive large-scale sport and games field. This paper is based on the purpose of developing and extending the GIS technology application fields,strengthening the sports information management, enhancing the sports geographic information system construction and furthering the Digital Sport (DS) research, which has vital practical significance and theory significance on the connection between them and region social service information system.The organization and management of the sports tournament relate to the sports competition area of mission in each aspect. Taking the competition as a core,it is essential to establish sports tournament information system with the personnel registration,result processing,the official website,the commentary information, the audience services,the competition information,data sharing and alternation etc. There exist some problems for the management way in traditional competition such as the oversize in organizational structure, the inefficiency and slowness to information,the unreasonable resources disposition,the tedious data processing and the inaccurate information analysis etc. The research and the establishment of system with accurate,comprehensive,timely,fast,and highly effective sports competition information system using the advanced spatial information technology,the network technology,the digital communicating technology and the data management technology play a significant role in the information construction which is helpful to the advance of the sports information construction degree,the organization and management level, the competence in public service and the decision-making ability.GIS is the technology system which is under the support of the computer hardware and software. By using the system engineering theory and the information science theory, it can manage scientifically and analysis the geography data which contains spatial connotation, to provides the information for the planning, management,decision-making and researching. Relying on its powerful spatial data management ability,visualization application interface and performance superior spatial analysis ability,GIS can provide the management and analysis methods which are convenient,quickly,scientific and accurate,for the sports tournament and games.Sports Tournament Geographic Information System is based on the map and the position. It includes functions of spatial data retrieval, geographic information service and sports tournament information searching. In the foundation of the analyses of the service and user requirements,the overall structure,the system functions and the implementation plan in detail, take the GIS technology as the core,used the outstanding component of SuperMap Objects and Ajax,based on the structure of Browser/Server (B/S) and the technical service framework of WEB2.0,and integrating Multi-source data. The author has studied deeply and developed the public service geographic information system of the sixth Asian Winter Games,which has obtained the successful application at the sixth Asian Winter Games. The home and overseas tourists,media journalists,athletes can get the public information service from the system conveniently and quickly which based on E-map and the position. Also,it has provided timely, accurately,all-round,direct-viewing and visible sports tournament information and service for sports management,public service,decision-making and on-site commanding. It is the system platform which has advanced technologies and wide-covering means on the management of sports tournament and games in domestic.GIS-Based Sports Tournament Information System plays an important role in Digital Sport (DS) construction. This system is under the support of the geographic information system, network system,communication system and the database system. So it can provide the multi-source and multi-level data and information for the organization and management sections of the sports and games. This system also has the analysis and the manage ability, which has been in-used in the sixth Asian Winter Games in Changchun. Actually,the system has provided the comprehensive,prompt,accurate and the objective foundation information for the tournament management,the public service and the decision-making support during the sixth Asian Winter Games. The successful construction and realization of the system can enhance the sports tournament organization and management efficiency. Also,it will provide the support and model for the construction of Digital Sport (DS).
