Mechanical valve is used most among all the artificial heart valve, but its surface will get cruor if it stay long in body fluid. So it's meaningful to increase the bioactivity of it.Hydroxyapatite(HA) is well known bioactive ceramic material used in medicine, for it has structure and characteristics that approximate those of natural bone. In order to increase bioactivity, growing HA film on Ti alloy substrate and grow blood vessel cell on its surface is worthwhile.This paper introduces artificial heart valve and HA materials first.Then it introduces pulsed laser deposition (PLD) theory and its investigation. And it analyses the influences of parameters during using PLD technology to grow HA films .On base of analysis of theory, we used different pressure to press HA powder into block, and then sintered it in different temperature. We used XRD, EDS and other methods to study different samples. Results showed that pressure and temperature both work on the quality of the target.
