The researching of geographic ontology is very important to spatial modeling of GIS, shareing the knowledge, intelligence, popularity,and networking. The most difference of the geographic ontology and the information ontology is the property of space. The researching language of ontology is now towards common ontology, which cannot help the research of the spatial property of the geographic ontology. The paper is aimed to validate the Spatial address,and build the ontology modle according to the domain knowledge. By designing the rules and combining the inference engine,it is explorating of the research of the geographic ontology.The paper refers to the three key questions. First, Building the ontology of the domain knowledge:Accoring to the domain of the test(Spatial Address Validator Domain), the research abstracts the modle of this domain,including the class,properties and the realation of this ontology modle. In the paper, web ontology language is used to present this domain knowledge and build the ontology modle. Second, Designing the rule: According to the question, the rule is designed. In order to designing the rule of the spatial address validator. The paper use the First-order logical language to design the rule, and Semantic Web Rule Language (SWRL) to describe the rule. Third, Making the experiment : The ontology model describe the elementary knowledge about the domain of the spatial address, the arithmetic expressed the concrete computation and the rule. By using the inference engine, it caused the knowledge and the rule unioned. It can gained the correct result, by reasoning used the fact base and the rule base. In the paper, it is reasoned by using the JESS inference engine, and the result of the reasoning can be saved th the new knowledge base. The new knowledge can be reasoned and computated by the later.In the prototype system, by taking Protege as the platform construction ontology model, OWL as modeling language combined with SWRL that is the describing rule,and JESS as the inference engine. By reasoning the address of the POI(Point of interesting),the POI can be verified.
