The electrochemical research of DNA analysis and electrochemical sensor is a hot topic in recent years, it has the advantages of good selectivity, high sensitivity, low-cost tests, easily miniaturization, and then without destroying testing system, so can be widely used in the environment detection.Glassy carbon electrode (GCE) is commonly used in electrochemical analysis field. After activating GCE using some special pretreatment, the surface of it is activated for some material. So pretreatment of GCE can often be used to improve the selectivity and electrochemical activity. In this thesis, DNA modified pretreated glassy carbon electrode was used to investigate the electrochemical characteristics of some planar small molecules, and the interaction between DNA and them. The thesis consisted of five chapters: (1) recent progress of electrochemical pretreatment of GCE and research of DNA was reviewed. Then the research proposal for this thesis was presented. (2) The obvious electrochemical action of Promethazine hydrochloride is showed at DNA modified pretreated GCE, using this electrode to determine Promethazine hydrochloride in human serum have got satisfied result. (3) ssDNA modified pretreated glassy carbon electrode is used to study the interaction between ssDNA and 1-naphthol, and using this modified electrode to determine trace 1-naphthol. (4) Pretreated glassy carbon electrode was used to study the voltammetric behavior of catechol and hydroquinone. Then DNA modified pretreated GCE was fabricated to study the interaction between DNA and them. And electrochemical detection of DNA damage induced by catechol and hydroquinone have also been studied. (5) The voltammetric behavior of caffeic acid at DNA modified pretreated GCE is studied, and DNA damage induced by caffeic acid was also discussed in this thesis.
