Along with the development of understanding and research in nuclear technology, nuclear technology obtains the widespread application in multitudinous domain. The process of radionuclide production, memory or transportation can make surface-pollution. Because the ray which nuclide decay produces is colorless and tasteless, we need the special instrument to carry on the survey in order to promptly understand the pollution situation. Unifies the domestic and foreign correlations alpha beam survey the theory and the technology, this article introduces the thorough research to the portable and low-background alpha measure.At present, the main characteristic of domestic and foreign portable alpha survey is multipurpose, multi-purpose, the many kinds of rays simultaneously measurement. And this kind of survey is of low accuracy and high background to the single kind of ray, is unable the fast accurate survey to the sole nuclide area. And the survey which is mainly made up of SCM is small volume, low power consumption and suitable for in-site survey, however, limit function of SCM is very difficult to realize complex data-processing function. The intellectualization needs the complex auxiliary equipment, which loses the portable instrument significance.Based on the discussion of the radiac-principle and realization plan of the whole system, this article designed and developed that the measure system was made up of main PC/104, Au-Si surface barrier semiconductor detector, signal-processing module, application software and so on, which simultaneously has provided USB, RJ-485 Ethernet connection as well as AC/DC power source power supply system.Through previous work, the portable alpha survey is successfully developed, which has friendly man-machine contact surface, the high measuring accuracy, the low background, and is suitable for in-site survey. And the survey had good effect and prospect in the application of measuring alpha surface pollution.
