The natural disaster on Loess landslide in Hei Fangtai have been becoming more and more serious,which impose a great barrier to the sustainable economic development of the region.So systematic study of landslides is needed in order to draw up practical controlling measures. Based on the analysis of characteristics of environmental geology and loess property in Hei Fangtai, systematic engineering geological research is done. Firstly, distributional characteristics and inner, outer factors of loess landslides in Hei Fangtai is studied .Through the analysis agricultural irrigation and storm are thought to be chief factors which induce the landslides; Secondly, Fellenius,Bishop and Jambu methods are used to calculate the stability factor of Jiao Jiayatou landslide in Hei Fangtai ,which offers designing parameters for successive landslide control; Flac (Fast Lagrangian Analysis for Continuum) is used for numerical simulation of the stability of Jiao Jiayatou landslide through which the stability factor,shear strain-rate diagram,velocity vectorgraph,x-displacement contours diagram and y-displacement contours diagram are obtained , so characteristics of stress-strain and development of the landslide can be analyzed; A new method called Adaptive Neuro—Fuzzy Inference System is proposed for the analysis of landslides, The method is used to predict the stability factor of Jiao Jiayatou landslide with good result; Thirdly, based on the analysis of factors affecting sliding distance, regression analysis and fuzzy information analysis are used to establish the predicting model of sliding distance in Hei Fangtai, at the same time sliding distance of landslides in Hei Fangtai is predicted by this model so hazard zoning is made; Finally, according to characteristics of landslides in Hei Fangtai,a set of economical and practical controlling measures are put forward,in addition, integrated controlling measures are proposed for Jiao Jiayatou landslide, which has produced great economic and social benefits.
