Currently, research on Global Change and Terrestrial Ecosystem (GCTE) andLand-Use-and Cover Change (LUCC) are becoming the core issues and theimportant research fileds, and the most complicated and vitally events in globalchange research.Climate factors, such as precipitation and temperature, determine the types anddistribution of vegetation, the vegetation type determine terrestrial ecological system, which contribute to the driving force of the Earth's terrestrial ecosystems evolvedwith the changes in the different spatial and temporal scales. Although the climatefactors determine the large-scale distribution of vegetation, its influence is relatedwith the time and space. In order to study vegetation change and to probe its relationship with the climatefactors on the 10-year scale in drought and humid areas, this paper analysis thesensitivity of vegetation change with some RS/GIS techniques based onmulti-temporal NOAA/AVHRR NDVI images between 1982 and 2000. Accordingclimate factors, the paper discusses the climate effects of NDVI on drought, humidand semi-arid/semi-humid areas, taking E'jina, Guanzhong Basin/Loess Plateau andPoyang Basin as examples. The following issues were studied in this dissertation:●Using NOAA/AVHRR NDVI images between 1982 and 2000, and based on theresults of data, the paper analysis vegetation index distribution characteristics, including temporal and spatial variation in China within 19 years; In view ofthe vegetation index data of typical regions, the inter-annual and annual featuresof changes were studied.●Using monthly average temperature and precipitation data in China from 1951to 2000, the paper analysis climate change of time and space of nationwide, andanalysis differences between the regions of climate change, the study of regionaldifferences 1982, focused on analysis of the characteristics of the ClimateChange between 1982~2000. ●Based on the analysis of NDVI vegetation index, temperature and precipitationof typical regions, the author studies the relations between vegetation index anddifferent period of climate factors, then fitting linear regression equationbetween vegetation index and climate factors in different periods. Meanwhile, correlation temperature, precipitation in summer with the NDVI distribution inprevious winter studied, and last spring.●Finally, the paper provided some thoughts and prospect about the study betweenvegetation and climate.
