Fish Fauna Analysis In The Longdong Loess Plateau

Survey on fish in the Longdong loess plateau from june 2005 to July 2006, 22 fish species, belonging to 3 orders, 6 families and 20 genera, were collected during this survey (including 6 domesticated species).There are 8 fish fauna complex in China. Fish fauna in the Longdong loess plateau belong to the following 5 fish fauna complex: China Plain fish fauna complex; the Central Asian Hill fish fauna complex;the Northern Plains fish fauna complex; Neogen early Flora fish fauna complex;the North Mountain area fish fauna complex. There are no plain-South fish fauna complex, the South Mountain region fish fauna complex and the Arctic freshwater fauna fish complex in Longdong loess plateau.Longdong loess plateau is the largest soil erosion area in China, the ecological environment is fragile; River region is fragmented terrain and vegetation is less. Much sediment from serious soil erosin in Longdong loess plateau throw into Yellow River. The quality of water in some river is very poor , which affected the distribution and survival of fish , that is the reason why there is only few fish species.
