The research on stability analysis of high rock slope has always being become the most important part in rock and soil research field for international as well as for domestic. Wth the construction development of the domestic large-scale water and electricity projects and others important projects, it make the high rock slope problems great sense and outstanding. In this paper, the research on slope critical sliding surface search is the main contents and all this can be illustrated by such three ways as:1) The characteristics of rock mass and its research level at present are summarized in this paper. Especially, the basic principal, basic method and general situation of discontinuity mapping are discussed and the system of 3-D geology mass simulation for slope which bases on the technology of joints network simulation and space interpolation for special discontinuity are edited by computer language.2) On the stability analysis of slope, the critical sliding surface search technology are mainly discussed and considered. After the discussion and estimation on three kind of generous intelligent algorithm for sliding surface search, a new advanced A* algorithm are proposed in this paper, and at the same time the corresponding procedure are edited.3) By the use of the upper system or procedure edited by myself, a series analysis is carried on the JinPing project, especially on the slope of the end cave which gets water out.Finally, the computation obtains the satisfactory result which makes actually to tally.
