The core of GIS is the Geographic data. One of the GIS data character is the massive data. At present some GIS software can support TB grade data management.In the face of more and more greater Geographic data, We should pay more attention to whether or not the data can be used effected and the data is integrated.In the aspect of data integrality and data semantics, DBMS has some tools like restriction and trigger. As a special database, The geographic database put forward special request in data integrality and the data semantics. The semantics of geographic data describes the geographic phenomena, for example, contour line cannot intersectant, chemical plant cannot be bulit in the 400 range of river.The integrality of geographic data includes not only the attributation data, but also the spatial data and the relation of geographic entity. The main aspect of works and creative points are as follows:Firstly, It schematic introduces the development background and research status,and puts forward the research significance and main content.Secondly, It introdues the rule model of geographic data, in the background of geographic database, it summarizes four kinds of rules, attribute rule, relation rule, topology rule and connection rule.Thirdly, It introduces the design scheme of rule manager.In the framework of MAPGIS7.0 it introduces the storage, management and checking scheme.Fourthly, It introduces the Implementation of rule manager and technology. According to the design scheme of chapter 3,the introduction of rule implementation is divided into four parts.They are the management of rule data, the storage of rule data, rule checking in active objcet layer and the client interface design of rule.Then it introduces some technology of the rule manager, such as the construction of topology structure ,the arithmetic of rule checking and plug-in technology.Finally, the summarization of the paper. It summarizes the paper from theory and implement,puts forward the shortage of the rule manager and a vista of rule's development orientation.In a word,The rule manager realized the complex structure and bulkiness geographic data maintenance in data integrality and semantics. It made good use of the theory of database integrality and topology in practical, has great factual meaning.
