The thesis establish a 3D subsurface model for Handan city through the 3D construction model software and popular geographic information system tool, as well as a great deal of geologic and geophysical data collected from drill holes. The conclusions are as follows:Firstly, sequence stratigraphy is used to make a division of Quaternary derived from drill holes and set up an isochronous stratum framework. The Quaternary in Handan was divided into five sequences, the first sequence corresponds to Holocene, the second corresponds to the upper Pleistocene, and the last three correspond to the middle Pleistocene from above.Secondly, establish a data base of drill holes and use the 3D construction software MVS and 3DField as well as ArcGIS tool to get a 3D subsurface model. Through the 3D model, the landform in Holocene is flat in the whole and the west is subtile higher than the east, the north and the south are almost subdued; The landform in the upper Pleistocene is almost the same as the landform in Holocene, but several hollow zones existed in this structure layer, the faults can not be recognized in this period; some depressed regions can be clearly seen in the middle Pleistocene and the strata is controlled by the fault, suggesting the structure is active in the objective zone at that time.Thirdly, the F1 fault with the meridional strike lies to the east of Jingguag railway and almost parallels to the railway; F2 fault with arcuate extension meet obliquely with the Fu yang river. F3 fault is northwest strike and meet obliquely with Lianfang road, the major part of this fault lies between Lianfang road and Congtai road. All the three faults are active before the upper Pleistocene and control the formation of the hollow zones and salients.Fourthly, new fault with north strike which the author calls F3-1 is identified. It is about 1.5km to the south of F3 fault. The F3 fault control the formation of northwest hollow zones together with F3-1 fault.
