Along with the development of science and technology, addresses exploration, field construction, directional movement and many other industries need accurate, reliable, stability of the GPS (Global Positioning System) geographic information acquisition system, for positioning, measurement, time and spatial information. As is now widely used by the GPS there is not a high degree of precision, cold-resistant heat poorly, the power consumption and other issues. This paper will be based on achieving an ARM9 achieve precision of less than 5 meters, heat resistance in the cold -40 oC~80 oC, humidity between 0~95% geographic information acquisition system.Based on the above ideas, the paper based on the embedded system, ARM9 based on the GPS geographic information collection system design and development, the primary research and work is as follow:1. ARM9-based GPS geographic information acquisition system overall scheme designARM9 GPS geographic information acquisition system is a set of global satellite positioning technology (GPS), geographic information technology (GIS) and modern communication technology in the integration of high-tech system. It's a moving target location information longitude, latitude, time, elevation and the speed by the GPS receiver of information, Serial real-time through the transmission to the ARM9 chip, through the LCD screen with geographic information in the inquiry of the electronic map on a moving target trajectory, as well as the position, speed, direction of movement and other parameters are monitored and inquiries to the industry on monitoring, scheduling, visualization management basis. 2. ARM9-based GPS Geographic Information Acquisition System hardware designThe Samsung S3C2440 Processor is based on the ARM920T core of the 16/32-bit embedded RISC microprocessor, mainly oriented handheld devices and high cost performance, low-power applications. Operating frequency is 203MHz, high frequency system can be made smoother running a variety of applications. ARM92OT from nuclear ARM9TDMI, memory management unit (MMU) and Cache three components. Main Board for a six-storey plate design, the integrated 64M SDRAM,64M Flash, 1M Boot Flash, RJ-45 LAN, audio input and output, USB Host, USB Slave, standard serial port, SD card socket, user keys and LED. Circuit design of the module power supply circuit, reset circuit, clock circuit and SDRAM memory interface circuit, Flash memory interface circuit, serial interface circuit, JATG interface circuit and USB interface circuit. GPS receiver used Daheng DH2000e company, a receiver on the technical parameters, Link method and the data output format.3. ARM9-based GPS geographic information acquisition system software designThis paper use a Windows CE embedded operating system. It is a preemptive multi-task and have strong communication capabilities of the Windows 32 operating system embedded. Microsoft is devoted to information equipment, mobile applications, and consumer electronic products, Embedded applications, and other non-PC areas from scratch and design a strategic operating system Windows CE product development platform, Platform Builder for kernel customization and reduction, Generation and the kernel image SDK documentation NK.bin, Boot Loader produced loading CE platform (NK.bin). It is downloaded to the system chip through JTAG interface then the application program is writen.4. Program designWriting the application program that can be running in the Windows CE, needs to use Windows CE development tools. It is the best choice for Visual C ++, because embedded systems with limited resources, C ++ Compiler high efficiency. The performance and compile the applications compact structure, now the most widely used development tools is the Embedded Visual C ++ (EVC). EVC put serial used to program operation, set up the serial port parameters and attributes, the right LCD for setting up and operation. SDK API (application program interface) functions are called, finally one. EXE file is generated.
